Our Family

Welcome to Dog Lovers of Tarpon pet store, a name Tarpon Springs pet owners have trusted since 1998. Back then, three locations carried the Dog Lovers name across the area. Today, only one location remains, right here on US Highway 19, and it’s the one we’re proud to call home.

In 2017, everything changed for the better. A family of two veterinarians, two teenagers, one dog, three cats, and a parrot took over the store. Since then, our household has grown and changed, but our commitment hasn’t wavered. We still believe every pet deserves a healthy, happy life, and we still show up every day to make that happen.

Because veterinarians run our store, nutrition sits at the center of everything we do. In fact, we’ve evolved from a typical pet supply shop into a full Holistic Center focused on pet nutrition and lifestyle wellness. Consequently, our shelves reflect careful research rather than trends. We follow guidance from organizations like the Association of American Feed Control Officials when we evaluate the food and supplements we carry, so you can trust what leaves our store with you.
